It shows how the Chinese government is keeping information from its citizens like the death toll that occurred from Tiananmen Square in 1989. The death toll ranged from a few hundred to a few thousand, the fact that we don't truly know how many peoples lives were taken is horrifying. All it takes is for one person in power, without necessary checks and balances, to put an end to perfectly peaceful and democratic rally to an end. Thankfully, with social media, the whole world will hold China accountable for its actions. This was a significant in the Chinese history and i think that government should learn from their mistake from back then and then connect to today. times have changed the people of Hong Kong want their democracy.<br />I really like the first picture because that perfectly describes the governments actions to cover it up make it seem as if it didn't happen.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05307473988399698800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8903053628583691322.post-88413054453863207312014-10-13T11:00:51.030-07:002014-10-13T11:00:51.030-07:00What honestly drew me to your post was the first p...What honestly drew me to your post was the first picture. I agree that because China has such a communist government they do chose to hide key points that no one will ever know about. I feel a lot of government officials do that. Really nice picture!
