  1. I thought you guys did a good job at explaining why Rockefeller was such an iconic figure in the late 1800s. I really enjoyed the video you showed and even though Rockefeller was accused of running a monopolistic company, he made a valid point on why he ran his company the way he did. Sure there was probably some corruption, but still an interesting video, it tied into your lecture quite well. I would of loved to have seen more photos, even if you held some up, images are always great.

  2. I thought you guys did an excellent explaining exactly what John Rockefeller did. You went into very depth details that I appreciated because I didn't know much about him besides him changing economics. I learned a lot from the video that you guys showed but I also was unaware that he started Baptist Universities like Chicago and how he gave back 35 million to his universities. I thought your video was the best part of your presentation because it was very neat to see exactly what was going on at the time with him running a monopolistic company.
I really agree with Lydia, I would have also loved to see more pictures because pictures are always great for an audience to see!

  3. I think you guys did such a great job, given the time crunch at the very end of class. You guys were able to cover a lot of information in a small amount of time, and I respect that because I get jitters when I have a time limit, but you guys made it work! I enjoyed how both of you really seemed to take an interest in what you were telling the class, so I think that made your presentation that much better. I liked the person portraying Rockefeller in the movie because he seemed to play the character really well. Listening to your presentation took me back to the high school days when my teacher taught me about that. The only thing I would say is that since you guys covered so much in so little time, maybe it would've been a little better to leave certain things out, like the longer video, and talk a little more in depth. I caught myself leaving some notes blank because you guys talked pretty quickly. Aside from that, I thought it was really interesting!!

  4. I thought you guys did very well in covering a lot of information and teaching us the gist of what Rockefeller was all about. I thought you both spoke very well and clearly and it sounded like you knew what you were talking about. I thought it was very interesting that he gave ten percent of his earnings to his church. I thought that you guys could have used more pictures to illustrate your topic but overall I thought it was a great presentation.

  5. I thought you guys did an amazing job with this, I loved how you guys were the only one without a presentation. I think it set everyone up to think that this wasn't going to be as good as the rest but they were wrong, you guys did amazing. I learned so much about Rockefeller that had no clue about. The one thing I would change is that I would have loved to see at least one picture of Rockefeller but other than that I thought you guys an absolutely amazing job!

  6. I absolutely love history and Rockefeller is a huge part of so many things and Christ gave an incredible introduction into this matter and you could tell he was really into him! The start of the presentation brought a lot of energy to the entire presentation i just wish there would have been a little more of something for the listeners. The clip was really good and an incredible depiction of Rockefeller but i wish we could have seen more of him even with something as simple as a picture of him on the board while you guys were speaking of him. Overall really good presentation and research just feel free to bring a little more attractiveness to your topic.

  7. You guys didn't have a slide show, but you did have a video which I thought was very powerful. You also compared him to Bill Gates of whom I didn't know was investigated. I knew that Rockefeller started an oil company, but I had no idea that he also started health programs. I think you would've made the presentation better by having a slide show with pictures to show everyone, but you guys did give out some interesting information.

  8. I really liked the video you guys showed during the presentation. It was really interesting and intense. I always think it's interesting to learn about extremely wealthy people. I think if you guys had some power point slides of some sort with some illustrations or pictures, I think that would have really given an idea on what him and his company looked like.

  9. I liked how you explained Rockefellar without the use of a powerpoint. It showed that you knew your facts. The video that you showed was very powerful and conveyed a strong picture of the man he was. I thought the one thing you could have changed was maybe switching speakers more than you did. I really like the presentation overall. Great job!

  10. I really liked your presentation, you had a lot of energy throughout it which made me excited to learn more about Rockefeller. You really knew what you were talking about as well. I found it interesting to learn about how he became the first billionaire and how he was investigated (People vs Standard Oil) for his work processes, employee wages, and monopoly. The clip you showed was very powerful however I would have loved to seen more pictures in your presentation (for us visual learners), aside from that great job!

  11. I found the video you played to really get the audience to understand Rockefeller. You guys did a great job explaining and showing that you understood the things you were saying. I learned a lot about Rockefeller and what he did and why he was so powerful. I felt you did a great job showing why he was iconic. The only thing I would change is using more picture on you power point. Other than that it was very well done and interesting.

  12. John D. Rockefeller, to me, is one of the most powerful people and most iconic people of all time. He single handedly almost created the largest monopoly of all time. Even though he exclaimed he did not monopolize, he bought out and bullied smaller companies in order to take them over. You guys did a very nice job in presenting all of this information and i really learned a lot! If i had to critique one thing about you presentation it would be that you guys talked and shared a more even amount.

  13. I had never thought of John Rockefeller as a good guy. I liked how you guys actually showed him as a good guy. I think your video did a great job at showing him in a new light. I didn't know he donated 10% to the church throughout his whole career. It really changed how I think about him. I cant really think of anything for you guys to improve on because I felt like you did a good job.

  14. I never knew about his charitable contributions before so i guess he is not all that bad now. I liked how you guys covered all the points of his life from rise to fall. I would have liked to know more about how he formed his monopoly and his court case. good job

  15. You did a great job of explaining why he was such an iconic figure of the 1800's. The video you had was very cool and taught us even more about it. After hearing about his donations that he made it really made me think different about him. He doesn't seem so bad after hearing that. I would of liked to know more about his court case. Good Job
