  1. I really thought your presentation was pretty interesting. My favorite part of the presentation was the video that you put into it. I thought that the video really captured the emotions and what the miracle on Ice was all about. I learned from the presentation that the soviet union invaded agghanistan months before the olympics. The only thing that I thought could have been better was if the video would have worked right away and if you guys could have talked a little more fluently. But, it didnt bother me really at all and I thought the presentation was good.

  2. I thought you guys did a really good job on your presentation. I feel like you both were very fluent and your presentation came across as if you guys had practiced a lot. I thought that you guys defended your point at the very end when you were asked why you guys chose more of the historical side rather than the athletic side. I feel like sometimes in a presentation you doubt yourself, and the fact that you guys answered so well to the questions at the end and really defended your presentation made it all the better. However, I would've liked to know more about the Miracle on Ice itself. Maybe about what the environment was like prior to the game and during, etc. since you guys covered so much history. Aside from that, I really enjoyed your presentation!

  3. I thought your presentation was very neat and very informative. You both seemed to know quite a bit of information so good job on your research. One thing I learned was your comment about the Sports Illustrated picture. That was a really good fact to share about how that was the first picture they used without captions. I also loved how both kept bouncing back and forth from each other. The only thing I wish would have worked for you was your video. Even thought we were still able to watch it, it just would have been nice to watch it instantly. Also, maybe more information about all the tension going on between the players (if there were any). Overall, nice job on your presentation!

  4. I thought your presentation was great. I have been to Lake Placid, NY were the games were held for the 1980 Olympics and you can see just in the small city how much of an impact it made. They constantly have the movie and clips of the game playing in the windows of the store fronts. The parts of the presentation that I really liked were the video you showed and the Sports Illustrated cover. I never knew that that was the only cover not to use any writing on it, the picture really speaks for itself. The only criticism that I have is to learn more about the game in itself as well as the players who were on the conic team. Overall, great job on your presentation!

  5. I felt your presentation was very informative. I could see where you were coming from for explaining what was going on with the Soviet Union before the game and the cold war. The only thing is I felt it took away from the point being about the match and how important the game was. America was just a bunch of semipro players at best and on paper had no chance against the Soviet Union that were all pros. I really liked your guy’s presentation and learned a lot about what was going on outside the match leading to the game. I also relay liked the clip because it makes you feel pride in your country every time you watch it and also the sports illustrated cover. The thing I would change is not to read the slides. I could tell you knew a lot about the topic. Other than that I thought it was a great presentation.

  6. I find it hard to believe that a college team went out and beat a professional team at hockey on TV. The kind of reaction that the fans made must have been off of all the charts. This upset must have really boosted the pride of the American people also. If I had to say anything that could have been made better about your presentation is that I wouldn't have read off the slides as much. Really knowing your information could help with that problem.

  7. Your presentation was very well done. You gave out lots of info from memory and had a thesis on the first slide that talks about how this event is important. The video was really cool to watch, especially when the crowd goes crazy at the end. I would've liked to have learned about the game in much more detail, but overall this was a great presentation.

  8. I really liked how you crossed the ideas of the cold war with the Miracle on Ice aspect. It does truly show the U.S. overcoming and 'beating' the Russians after all. I thought you guys presented the information well, but the only thing I would change would be how much you read the information off of the slides.

  9. You guys did a really good job at informing us about the Miracle on Ice. I had not heard of this before yesterday, so all that you said interested me. I liked how you used it as a symbol for the cold war. I also like how much you guys seemed to care. I don't really know how you can improve other than maybe mention some of the other important information about the subject.

  10. You guys worked really well together. You pushed through technical difficulties really well. I remember watching the movie but I had forgotten how it was such a bigger deal than just hockey. It was the pride of a nation. Although you worked well together, you stepped on eachother a couple of times and restated some information. Super minor mistake that would not have been noticed unless you were looking for it. Great job.

  11. I liked how you compared the event to materials from class. I think you did a good job in telling why it was important. The video you showed was a really nice touch. I think maybe one thing that could have been changed was not to give so much history, it seemed like a history lesson at first. Great presentation overall.

  12. Something i learned and found interesting was that the sports illustrated cover or this was the most iconic of all time. It was cool to learn that there was nothing else on the cover, just a picture of what happened. Something that i did notice though, was that you guys interrupted each other a few times, other than that great job and nice presentation!

  13. I think it was amazing that a bunch of college kid hockey players could beat Russian professionals. I really liked how you guys explained and showed the video that showed us how momentous that moment was and how it impacted everyone. I would have liked a little more history to have go along with it. good job

  14. I thought you guys did a good job with your presentation. I really enjoyed watching the video and liked how you guys compared it to the cold war. It was really symbolic and iconic and now I understand why. I also thought it was awesome how the winning photo of the United States was on the cover of Sports Illustrated and was the only published cover with no captions. It was all around a big deal and really great for such a small team to beat such a large pro team. I would have loved to here more about the origins of the U.S Hockey team, I understood they were not pro but maybe focus in on some really talented players. At times, things felt frantic, but overall, I loved the information.

  15. I LOVED your presentation. Watching that video that you guys showed actually gave me chills. It was so incredible what they were able to pull off. A bunch of college kids beat the Russian Hockey team, one of the best teams in the world. I learned so much more about this and you guys kept it entertaining. You did an AMAZING job!!!
