Exploration 8: Xavier Gregory

1) The movie Fresh presented many ideas about how to return farming back to the way it was meant to be. Farming wasn't meant to be industrialized it was meant to be natural. Many of the ideas that were brought up to fix the farming land was to restart the current industrialized farms by killing off the current herds who are affected by multiple diseases. For instance ecoli and madcow disease outbreaks have harmed humans do to the mas farming of sick animals. Rotational grazing was one of the main ways of fixing Industrial farming. The idea of moving the livestock through different pastures so that one pasture doesn't get eating or destroyed because of overgrazing. Also another main idea that could save farming is that farming within a city with hydroponics can be really beneficial to those people who are in nations that don't have fertile land to farm on their own.

2) For my research topic I research Will Allen. Will Allen is one of the main contributors to how to fix farming and make it available for people in cities who don't have access to food. Will Allen as on his main website for Grow power. On the website he has the vision of the grow power. 3) During class on Monday I remember that during the class discussion we talked about about hydroponics and the disadvantages. Talking about how delicate the hydroponic system can be and that it has some flaws but also how great it can be.
